Biller needed for a large mental health group practice. Will submit insurance claims through Simple Practice EHR, process co-pays and self-pay credit card payments also through Simple Practice.
Additional tasks include: generating and sending superbills, checking therapist timesheets against data in Simple Practice, communicating with patients and therapists as needed, appealing denied claims, troubleshooting rejected claims, benefit eligibility checks for new patients, coordinating and submitting medical records when requested by the insurer. Must have experience in insurance billing; mental health preferred but other healthcare fields may apply.
1099 part-time freelance position. This practice will require 30-35 hours per month to start. Interested in a candidate available to add additional clients until reaching 80-100 hours per month. Starts at $20 an hour.
