What was the driving force that led you to hire a Virtual Assistant?

I was spending so much time after a full day of clinical practice responding to calls and messages. My day never seemed to end, and I was feeling tired and overwhelmed.

How has hiring a mental health virtual assistant helped your practice?

Our amazing assistant has helped us streamline intake of new patients and keep up with reschedules, messages, and questions from current patients and other providers.

What is your favorite new thing you can do with your newfound free time after hiring your VA?

I love to cook, so now I enjoy time with my family preparing our yummy dinners instead of rushing to get something on the dinner table after work. Also, I’m loving going for walks in nature to renew my energy, allowing me to be truly present with my patients when I need to be, not 24/7 as it was before.

Why did you choose to work with Sarita Turner Mental Health Virtual Assistance?

I was looking for someone who I could trust talking with my patients in place of me, and I didn’t believe a generic assistant would be sensitive enough to the unique needs of mental health patients. Using gender affirming terminology and conversation is a top priority for my practice, and Sarita was able to match me with an assistant capable of this in addition to being experienced communicating with patients in mental health.

How would you describe your assistant?

Our assistant is reliable, organized, respectful, innovative, gender-affirming, and clear in communication with patients and providers. She’s responsive to our needs as they arise and often problem solves with us to refine systems. She demonstrates consistent use of gender affirming names and pronouns with our transgender patients, which is a top priority for our practice.

I’m grateful for the level of skill in communication, professionalism, and reliability of our mental health virtual assistant. I trust her to always be respectful and help us meet the needs of our mental health patients when they reach out to us. The person who answers the phone or responds to questions of new patients is the person who sets the tone of the practice, and I feel confident in having our virtual assistant do this in place of me. She’s the trusted voice of our practice when we can’t be, freeing us up to care for our patients and ourselves.
