Virtual Assistant Spotlight – Meet Lindsey

Why did you choose to work for Sarita Turner Mental Health Virtual Assistance?

I love the opportunity to support therapists in a way that will give time back for themselves for self-care and to support the growth of their private practice.

What type of background do you have in this industry?

I have 3+ years of working within the mental health industry at various administrative jobs and I have 8+ years of office administration and customer service.

What might people be surprised to learn about your role?

The level of involvement you get to have with the therapist and their practice. You really get the chance to help a therapist grow their business.

What is your favorite thing about being a virtual assistant?

Connecting, supporting, and learning new things.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

I would own my own therapy practice and be a therapist, but I am working on that. 🙂

What is the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

My weirdest job I ever had was working at a firework stand when I was a freshman in high school … it did not blow me away.

What is your favorite task about your job and why?

Supporting the therapist and their patients.

What does a typical day look like to you?

Wake up, take a deep breath and work the phone making calls or taking calls. You’ll find me working in front of my computer creating documents for work flows or forms and answering emails.

What are three words you would use to describe yourself?

Empathetic, resilient, and enthusiastic!

Describe your life outside of work (hobbies, activities, etc.)

I love to hike and be outside in the mountains of Washington.

If given the chance, who would you like to be for a day? Why?

Michelle Obama

If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only bring 3 things, what would they be?

Inflatable kayak, water filter, and a journal.

What was your greatest vacation?

San Diego at the end of 2021

What’s the coolest (or most important) trend you see today?

Remote work is exciting, but Telehealth is transforming and I’m excited where it will go.
